The City of Storm Lake will be testing for the position of Police Officer. Minimum requirements include: a high school diploma or equivalent; uncorrected vision of not less than 20/100 in each eye correctable to 20/20, and the applicant must successfully complete a written, oral, and physical agility testing process; a psychological evaluation; a medical physical; and an extensive background investigation. Starting salary for non-certified applicants is $55,189 (up to $69,604 if certified and years of experience). $5000 sign-on bonus for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Certified applicants. An application must be submitted no later than October 5, 2022, to be considered for testing. Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Color vision 20/100 in each eye correctable to 20/20. Citizen of the United States. Must possess a valid Iowa driver's license upon date of hire. Be of good moral character and have not been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude, or domestic violence. Must live within 20 miles of Storm Lake City Hall no later than 6 months after date of hire.
