NAPO OPPOSES ADEGBILE NOMINATION

NAPO OPPOSES ADEGBILE NOMINATION

01/16/2014

NAPO is asking for assistance with their strong opposition to the nomination of Debo Adegbile to be the next Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.  This nomination is a slap in the face of American law enforcement, to put it mildly.

Mr. Adegbile made his name defending one of the most notorious and unrepentant cop killers around, Wesley Cook, aka “Mumia Abu-Jamal” the convicted murderer of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner.  His efforts lead to Cook’s just sentence for the murdering of a fellow law enforcement officer being overturned.

NAPO asks that every member and/or group to please write the two senior senators in charge of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont, Chairman, and Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Ranking Member of the Committee.  Also please consider writing your two United States senators on this as well, because the Senate must still vote on this nomination before it can take effect.
