Police Officers in the City patrol the streets and conduct investigations in the enforcement of State law, traffic law and the municipal code. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in social or police science preferred. Must be 21 years of age prior to the start of the basic police academy or upon hire if already a certified officer. Preference may be given to applicants who are certified through the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy or any other state with comparable certification. Valid Driver’s License.
