ISPA SEEKS TRUSTEE FOR MFPRSI (411) BOARD

The Iowa State Police Association was notified by Eric Court, Davenport Police Department, of his intentions to retire from law enforcement. Eric served as the active police officer member of the board of trustees of the Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa. The ISPA wishes to thank Eric for his dedicated service to Iowa law enforcement and to the pension system.

 

Pursuant to Iowa Code 411.36(1)(a)(2):

411.36 Board of trustees for statewide system.

1. a. A board of trustees for the statewide fire and police retirement system is created. The

board shall consist of thirteen members, including nine voting members and four nonvoting

members. The voting members shall be as follows:

(2) Two police officers from different participating cities, one of whom is an active

member of the retirement system and one of whom is a retired member. The police officers

shall be appointed by the governing body of the Iowa state police association.

At this time the ISPA is seeking an active police officer currently employed by a 411/MFPRSI agency to fill the position vacated by Eric Court.
