Forrest E. Brady, 90, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Lutheran Living following a short illness.

Forrest E. Brady, 90, of Muscatine, died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Lutheran Living following a short illness.

Reverend David Morris of New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine “Shop with a Cop” Program or to the donor’s choice of charity.

Forrest was born on April 29, 1924, in Muscatine, the son of Frank and Aurella Giegel Brady. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School, class of 1943.

He was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II in the South Pacific from 1943 until 1946.

He and Pauline Brendel where united in marriage on Dec. 16, 1951, at the Mulford Evangelical Free Church in Muscatine.

Forrest joined the Muscatine Police Department in March of 1953 and retired in 1981.

He loved house boating and camping on the Mississippi river. He enjoyed working in his yard, loved mowing grass, raking the leaves, and his flowers.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pauline Brady of Muscatine; one son, Dennis Brady and wife, Kate, of Muscatine; one grandson, Logan Brady; one granddaughter, Jessica Wagg and husband, Jacob; one great-grandson, Landry Wagg; one brother, Gilbert Brady and wife, Loretta, of Muscatine; and one sister, Donna McAully and husband, Chuck, of Fredonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harlan Cutler, Bob Brady, and Wayne Brady; and one sister, Vivian Crook.
