He loved to trap, play slow pitch softball, and go fishing. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, a life member of the Elks, and was Scout leader for Cub pack and Boy Scout troop #347.

He is survived by his wife, Delores of 62 years; son, Scott (Diane) Kinseth of Independence, Iowa and Lynette (Brian) Benda of Toledo, Iowa; five grandchildren, Katie (Brennan) Drew, Ashley (Peyton) Huinker, Justin Kinseth, Dr. Kyle Benda, and Megann Kinseth; four great grandchildren, Emerson and Aileen Drew, and Avery and Ryann Huinker; a sister, Rachel (Wayne) Senne of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
