Arthur "Mick" McBride

Arthur “Mick” McBride III, 77, of Decatur, Iowa, passed away August 8, 2025. Born July 9, 1948, in Burbank, California, Mick was a proud U.S. Marine and Purple Heart recipient who served in Vietnam. He married Brenda in Yuma, Arizona, and together they shared 57 years of marriage.

Mick served with the Des Moines Police Department from 1971 until his retirement in 2003. He and Brenda traveled extensively before settling on their acreage in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children Mac (Jessica) McBride, Susan (Lamont) Tobey, and Shawn (Tyler) Cornell; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 16, at 12 p.m. at Living Hope Church in Leon, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to EveryStep Hospice or the Gary Sinise Foundation.
