He is survived by: his children, James Marvin Holmberg and Leisa Passet (Joe); and his grandchildren, Joshua Holmberg (Jocelyn), Timothy Passet (Keely), Heather Ann Jarvis, Holly Fleming (John), Abigayle Holmberg and Thomas Holmberg. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel (1006 6th St, Boone, IA 50036). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
